COERR Kanchanaburi Promotes Refugee Youth Leadership Development

   COERR Kanchanaburi promotes refugee youth development, empowerment and youth-led activities that benefit youth and their communities. In Ban Don Yang and Ban Tham Hin camps, there are youth clubs that are called youth cabinets of which their members are active and productive. Peace activities include activities for elderly day, friendship day, world refugee day, environment day, etc. there are 22 members in the youth cabinet in each camp.

   On May 18, a meeting of youth club in Ban Don Yang was held in COERR Child Friendly Space in which the group allocated role and responsibility and agreed to have an election of the new youth cabinet on June 21, 2018.

   On June 1, a meeting of youth club in Ban Tham Hin camp was held in COERR Child Friendly Space and it was agreed that an election should be held on June 12, 2018.

   Then on June 12, 2018, an election of new youth cabinet was held in Ban Tham Hin High School with the participation of 299 refugees.Later, on June 21, 2018, the election of new youth cabinet was held in Ban Don Yang. There were 171 refugees participating in this election day.
